香港中文大学（中大）将举行一系列公开讲座，主题围绕中大 2019年推出的四个新本科课程：中国研究 (JS4136)、教育学士（幼儿教育）(JS4372)、人工智能：系统与科技 (JS4468) 及数据科学与政策研究 (JS4893)。

讲座特别为中学生、老师及家长而设，旨在协助同学探索最切合他们才能和兴趣的中大本科课程。
大会于讲座后设有茶点招待，欢迎同学与讲者及中大学生交流。

第一场公开讲座 The China Puzzle 将于2018年12月13日(四) 举行。讲座由中国研究课程提供。

The China Puzzle

摘要：
Every nation wants its citizens to be patriotic, and every nation uses its public school system to teach an ideal version of national history designed to awaken pride. But how close to reality is that ideal? And who decides? In reality, China is a great puzzle: a vast space with more languages and more regional cultures than Europe, and a long history during which its boundaries never stop changing. Will the “real China” please stand up? There is a relationship between its past and its present, but what is it? There are great differences between North and South, East and West, but what are they? This talk will show why these are all urgent questions that require professional answers from specialists in history, law, economy, and society. It will do so by looking at a series of “China puzzles”.
