Edward Bell is responsible for the development of brand strategy, consumer insights, loyalty marketing and marketing communications for the Cathay Pacific group globally.
Ed has spent the majority of his career in marketing strategy and later as a CEO for marketing and communication consultancies across Asia and Greater China, working for a diverse set of brands and businesses.
A seasoned marketing professional, Ed is the recipient of the prestigious IPA and Jay Chiat awards for marketing effectiveness and strategy and is a regular author and speaker.
Originally from Melbourne Australia, Ed is married with three children, and happily calls Hong Kong 'home'.

The Covid crisis has impacted the travel sector and airlines especially hard. In response, airlines have needed to change their communication priorities. What used to ‘basic’ and ‘taken for granted’ perceptions about hygiene could now become points of differentiation. But the greater challenge lies in the near future. Will zoom replace business travel? Should it? How the crisis is changing what the travelling public think they want and what should travel brands do about it?
