The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The University of Queensland (UQ), and the University of Exeter (Exeter) are world-leading in environmental science with a strong dedication to the advancement of sustainable development. The three universities have separately established the QUEX Institute and the CUHK-Exeter Joint Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (ENSURE) to tackle challenges emerging from the changing environment and its influence on planetary health.
To share current work and to inspire collaboration, the CUHK-UQ-Exeter Joint Symposium on Environmental Sustainability will showcase some of the projects undertaken by QUEX and ENSURE in the areas of marine science, air pollution, climate adaptation and conservation, and microplastics pollution. The event will also feature a panel discussion to shed light on the power of global partnership in a post-COVID world.
The Symposium will be of interest to those passionate about research in addressing environmental sustainability and those who may be interested in working with CUHK, UQ, and Exeter in this endeavour. It is particularly relevant to early career researchers who are keen to develop their global network. All are welcome.
