The Chinese University of Hong Kong Holds 90th Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees
The 90th Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was held from 4 November and was successfully concluded today (6 November).
This year’s graduation ceremonies were split into 17 sessions, hosted by the respective Colleges and Faculties. The nine Colleges of CUHK, including Chung Chi College, New Asia College, United College, Shaw College, Morningside College, S.H. Ho College, C.W. Chu College, Wu Yee Sun College and Lee Woo Sing College, conferred the Bachelor’s Degrees on 4 November while the eight Faculties, including the Faculties of Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and Social Science, held the Doctoral and Master’s Degree Graduation Ceremonies on 5 and 6 November.
In view of the constantly developing pandemic situation, the University continues to carry out stringent infection control measures to safeguard the health and safety of the CUHK community. To avoid any spread of the virus, all staff and students were required to measure body temperature before entering the ceremonial ground, put on surgical masks at all times in the campus and during the ceremony, and maintain social distancing.
Doctoral, Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree Graduates in 2021
A total of 568 doctoral degrees, 6,235 master’s degrees and 5,046 bachelor’s degrees were conferred at the Congregation. Among the latter were 650 Bachelor of Arts, 1,112 Bachelor of Business Administration, 35 Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, 54 Bachelor of Education, 612 Bachelor of Engineering, 65 Bachelor of Laws, 23 Bachelor of Chinese Medicine, 217 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, 245 Bachelor of Nursing, 33 Bachelor of Pharmacy, 1,249 Bachelor of Science, and 716 Bachelor of Social Science.
