Over 850 CUHK Runners Participate in the CUHK 10K Night Challenge 2019
The CUHK 10K Night Challenge 2019 was successfully held on 8 March 2019, attracting around 850 CUHK students, staff and alumni who experienced the night run together. The Challenge was jointly organised by the Physical Education Unit (PE Unit) of the Faculty of Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), I·CARE and the Communications and Public Relations Office of CUHK.
CUHK has been striving to promote sport by encouraging students to participate in sports activities to keep their bodies strong, create positive energy in their lives and build up a forward looking and healthy way of living.
The CUHK 10K Night Challenge 2019 had two categories: Race Group (10K) and Health Group (4K) with the Southern Piazza of Pak Shek Kok Promenade as the starting and finishing point. The runners showed great perseverance by finishing the run along the Promenade at night time in unfavourable weather. The event also served to raise funds for the I·CARE Programme to support the development of its various activities, and hence contribute to the sustainable personal growth of CUHK students.
