CUHK holds flag-raising ceremony on New Year’s Day
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) hosted a flag-raising ceremony today (1 January) to celebrate the beginning of 2025.
The event began at 10:30 am at CUHK’s flag-hoisting platform, where the CUHK Student Flag Guards performed the ceremony. The national flag was raised alongside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) flag and the CUHK flag, accompanied by a rendition of the national anthem.
The Commissioner of Police Mr Siu Chak-yee, Council Chairman Professor John Chai Yat-chiu, Acting Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Poon Wai-yin, along with distinguished guests, Council members, the University’s management team members, staff, students and alumni attended the ceremony.
