Chief Secretary Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor Lectures at The Chinese University of Hong Kong
The Honourable Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, shared her views on ‘Leadership – Change and Innovation’ with some 1,400 students at an Assembly of Shaw College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) today (2 November).
The lecture is part of the general education programme of the Shaw College, which aims to enrich and broaden students’ exposure as well as to encourage intellectual interaction between students and teachers across all the academic disciplines. To strengthen its general education programme, the Shaw College has been inviting various social leaders to share their expertise and life experience with its students. The Honourable Rita Fan Hsu Lai-tai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China; Chief Executive, the Honourable Leung Chun-ying; former Chief Secretary for Administration, the Honourable Henry Tang Ying-yen; former Secretary for Justice, the Honourable Wong Yan-lung; Financial Secretary, the Honourable John Tsang Chun-wah; and former Chief Executive, the Honourable Donald Tsang, had shared their views on leadership in previous lectures. Other speakers included Mr. Dick Lee, former Commissioner of Police of HKSAR who lectured on ‘Smooth on the surface, firm at heart—The Art of Leadership’ as well as Ms. Lee Lok-sze who spoke on the issue of global warming.
