Synopsis of Lecture:
從1932年芬戴禮神父主持南丫島大灣遺址算起，香港考古已走過了九十個年頭。本講座將回顧香港考古走過的路，從戰前的幾位考古先驅，到戰後的香港大學考古隊和香港考古學會，以至1976年古物古蹟辦事處的成立。講座會介紹香港兩條保護考古遺產的法例—-古物及古蹟條例、環境影響評估條例，以及相關機構的保育工作。講座也會介紹黄地峒遺址和馬灣東灣仔遺址的重要考古發現，黄地峒遺址把香港歷史推至舊石器時代晚期，東灣仔遺址的發現剛於2021年入選中國「百年百大考古發現」。
