Event Details:

3-days of “ORKTS Entrepreneurship Support Fair 2025” will be held again on April 7-9, 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm at Yasumoto International Academic Park 1/F and YIA CUHK Bookstore!

The theme of this year is “Illuminate Your Entrepreneurial Dreams: Beyond Business, make positive impact through innovation”. There will be a booth exhibition displaying various entrepreneurship funds, competitions and education information! The InnoPort team and different units will also be there to talk to everyone and encourage you to move a step toward your dream.

In addition, entrepreneurs will join us to share their startup journey and business wisdom in the “Happy Lunch Hour ” sharing session!

Synopsis of Lecture:
  1. Food Tech Entrepreneurship: How Food Technology Leads the Way to Sustainable Entrepreneurship
    This seminar focuses on the opportunities and challenges of food tech entrepreneurship, exploring how innovative technologies can achieve sustainable development in the food industry. Dr. Lau will share trends and resources in food tech entrepreneurship, while Mr. Edmund Chan will discuss Meat the Next’s innovative practices in plant-based foods. Ms. Jojo Kwok and Mr. Matt Chak will share Body Nova’s entrepreneurial journey in the health food sector and their experiences with the HKSEC competition.
  2. “Blue” Blueprint: Innovation and Practice in the Blue Economy
    This seminar explores the theme of the “blue economy,” discussing how to utilize ocean resources to drive economic growth while ensuring sustainable marine ecosystems. Dr. Apple Chui will share her experiences in coral conservation and fundraising, Professor Ho Kin Chung will discuss microalgae entrepreneurship and opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, Ms. Tina Vu will introduce innovative technologies applied in the blue economy, and Mr. Raymond Chu will discuss funding opportunities for entrepreneurship.
  3. Blending Artistry with Business: The Limitless Potential of Music Culture and the Rise of Musicpreneurs
    This seminar focuses on the music entrepreneurship sector within the creative cultural industry. Professor Melody Yiu and Dr. Veera Fung will share their unique insights from the School of Architecture, while Mr. Stanley Yeung and Mr. Jayson Chan, participants in the GroundMusic project, will share their music creation experiences. Ms. Ms. Irene Au will discuss her experience founding the KALOS Music Creative Platform, highlighting the diverse applications and development value of music in society. The event will also feature a 20-minute music performance by Music Ground.
