“New Asia Lectures on Confucianism” is generously sponsored by the Moonchu Foundation. The 8th New Asia Lectures on Confucianism will be held in October 2022, and it is our honor to have invited Professor CHENG Kat Hung Dennis to be our speaker. Professor Cheng is the Chair Professor of Cultural History, The Education University of Hong Kong. Details of the lectures are as follows:

1st Lecture
Topic: “Shifting Discourses on the “Ru” (儒) in Modern China”
Moderator: Professor CHENG Chung Yi, Department of Philosophy, CUHK

2nd Lecture
Topic: “Construing the Relationship between Yijing Studies and Confucian Studies from a Philosophic Point of View”

Topic: “The Differences between Dai Zhen’s Conception of the Psycho-Physical Force (Qi) and the Han Scholars’ Discourse on the Emanating Material Force (Yuanqi)”
