The Lingnan Culture Studies Research Paper Competition 2022, organized by the Research Programme for Lingnan Culture, Institute of Chinese Studies, CUHK, aims to promote international academic research on Lingnan culture, as well as to encourage local and overseas doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows who are aspiring to conduct in-depth research in the field. The competition received up to 50 research papers, which are subject to assessment by the selection committee.

The award ceremony will be broadcast on Zoom on 20 April 2023, we are honored to invite Prof. Ching May Bo, Head and Professor of the Department of Chinese and History of the City University of Hong Kong, as the keynote speaker to deliver a talk on an interesting topic “The Lychee is ‘hot’ and the Star Fruit tastes subtle: multiple interpretations of Lingnan local products”.
