Join us on 29 November 2024 (Friday, 3:00pm – 5:30pm) for an enlightening discussion of future leadership in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Jointly organised by the CUHK Graduate School and The Federation of Graduate School Alumni Association (FGSAA), the “Graduate School Seminar 2024: Leaders for 2025 and Beyond – Innovation & Entrepreneurship” brings together distinguished CUHK professors and accomplished postgraduate alumni to share their perspectives on emerging trends, leadership challenges in today’s world, and the essential qualities for future leaders.

We are pleased to have invited, Prof. Hon-Ming LAM, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Life Sciences, and Ir. Prof. Alan LAM, JP, CEO of Gravity Capital Co. Ltd. and CUHK PhD graduate in Mechanical and Automation Engineering, as keynote speakers. Prof. Hon-Ming Lam’s groundbreaking research on climate-smart agriculture, tackles issues like food security and environmental sustainability. He is also the awardee of the RAISe+ project. Meanwhile, Ir. Prof. Alan LAM is a pioneering impact investor who aids CUHK professors in securing the HK Government’s RAISe+ Scheme for their startups. The speakers will share their insights on leveraging academic knowledge for societal impact and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the academic community.

This will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Carroll Lee, CUHK’s EMBA graduate. Panellists include 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗨, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Prof. Catherine SO, Department of Educational Psychology, Mr. Andy ANN, Chairman of NDN Group and EMBA alumnus, and Mr. Kevin LI, Co-founder of VoiceAI Technologies and MBA alumnus. They will discuss strategies for overcoming challenges in a rapidly evolving market and highlight the key attributes of effective future leaders from different perspectives.

There will also be a networking session at the end of the Seminar for the alumni, students and speakers to network and exchange ideas.
