With data being a critical source of competitive advantage, business analysts are now familiar with statistical, economic, and computational methods that analyze data. However, many are not trained to effectively communicate their findings with others, which is essential for decision-makers in inferring managerial insight. Data visualisation serves as a powerful means to present a story embedded in data when it is done right. However, when it is done wrong, misleading visualisation can confuse and even deceive the audience. In this era of big data, effective data visualisation has become even more important.
