The OSC/UBS NGO Leadership Programme organized by the Department of Social Work was initiated in 2014, for an intersectional collaboration among businesses, non-profit and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and academia, with a vision to foster social innovations to meet the changing needs of society. After the Programme was launched in December 2014, more than 70 applications were received from 62 different small to mid-sized organizations. The selected managerial/directorial-ranked participants received a series of 12 training workshops with professionals of various sectors. A mentorship scheme was integrated into the Programme which allowed the participants to develop their innovative project proposals with direct advice from the mentors, who were all professionals with strong background from UBS and the Department of Social Work.
