Mr Pan Yundong

Acting Commissioner, Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Biography of Speaker:

Mr Pan Yundong is a native of China’s Zhejiang Province and holds a master’s degree. He has long been engaged in diplomacy involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and has rich diplomatic experience. Mr Pan joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989, and has worked in the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, the Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai, the Embassy to the United States, the Consulate General in Manchester, and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao S.A.R. He has served as the Chinese Consul General in Manchester, and the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao S.A.R. In 2021, he was appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and is currently the Acting Commissioner.
