“Be Your Eyes, By Your Side. 2016 Pacific Foundation Tandem Charity Ride” is organised by the Hong Kong Society for the Blind. The event provides visually impaired people with the opportunity to ride a tandem as a rear rider (the “stocker”) with a fully sighted front rider (the “captain”). The sighted captain will narrate the scenery and activities to the stocker along the cycling route, which will extend the horizons of the visually impaired and enable them to experience and enjoy cycling. In addition to tandem riding, the event will also hold a carnival and set up game booths.

As a supporting organisation, MOTIVIC is now recruiting volunteers to help with the event, including:

1) Venue set up

2) Start point coordination

3) Bicycle rental coordination

4) Crowd control

Volunteers need to attend one briefing session:

19 November (Sat):10:00am-12:00pm or 23 November (Wed): 07:00pm-09:00pm
