CUHK holds flag-raising ceremony on New Year’s Day

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) held a flag-raising ceremony on New Year’s Day on campus today (1 January) to welcome the new year.

Commencing at 10:30am, the ceremony included a rendition of the national anthem as the flags of the People’s Republic of China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the University were raised.

Around 100 guests attended the flag-raising ceremony, including Chairman of the University Council Professor John Chai Yat-Chiu, the University’s council members, senior management team, and representatives from Colleges, Faculties, as well as staff, students and alumni.
