In accordance with the announcement by the Government on 21 February about the implementation of “Vaccine Pass” arrangements in phases, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) hereby announces that all persons must meet the vaccination requirements under the “Vaccine Pass” in order to gain entry to the University campus (details refer to table 1). 

The latest arrangements for entering campus will be effective from tomorrow (24 February). Details are as follows:

• Except for those who do not meet the vaccination requirements, all holders of duly vaccination verified CULinks, Contractor Cards or Resident Cards can gain entry by tapping their cards at the campus entrance as usual. Where necessary, they might be requested by security personnel to show their “Vaccine Pass” if the situation requires.
• All visitors who hold either a CUHK Library Card, CUHK Alumni Credit Card, CUHK Guest Card, Visitor QR Code, Short-term Course Student Card, etc, or are on Pre-approved Group Visits, have to present their relevant identity documents, and show their “Vaccine Pass” to the security personnel for verification by physical checking or scanning with the eVT Code Verifier App developed by the Government.
• All other visitors are required to present their Hong Kong Identity Cards, etc, for registration, and likewise show their “Vaccine Pass” to the security personnel for verification by physical checking or scanning with the eVT Code Verifier App in order to gain entry to the campus.
• Exemptions will only be given to visitors due to age factors (under 12 years of age at the moment) and those visitors unable to be vaccinated due to a valid medical reason upon production of a valid medical exemption certificate accompanied by a negative COVID-19 test result.
