楊牧師1986年於信義宗神學院畢業，畢業後於香港信義會真愛堂事奉，1990年按立為牧師，1993年被選為香港信義會常務委員會委員，並擔任部長。 楊牧師認為參與堂會以外的事奉是為要更好的服事堂會。除了1997年完成道學碩士課程外，他認為多參與實務的工作，對作為牧師的見識與眼界十分重要。 楊牧師將在午餐會中示範以魔術表演分享信仰。
