Re-appointment of Dr Norman NP Leung as the Council Chairman of CUHK

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is pleased to note that, in accordance with the CUHK Ordinance, the Chancellor of the University, on the nomination of the Council, has re-appointed Dr Norman Leung Nai-pang, as Chairman of the CUHK Council for another term of three years with effect from 1 May 2019. 

Professor Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK welcomes the re-appointment of Dr Leung. He said, “Under Dr Leung’s able leadership in the past three years, CUHK has continued to affirm its role as one of Asia’s leading universities. The University’s management looks forward to working in partnership with the Council under the continuing leadership of Dr Leung.” 

Dr Leung said, “I am honoured to be re-appointed as the Council Chairman of CUHK. We are so prominent in Asia, and have such an exemplary reputation in teaching and research excellence. In my next term, I shall continue to work closely with the Council members, the University’s management team and indeed all the CUHK members to scale new heights in the development of the University by increasing its impact locally, regionally and globally.”
