CUHK to Host an Academic Conference on Life Education This SaturdayNow Open to Teachers and Education Practitioners
The Education Bureau has commissioned the Faculty of Education and the Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to organize the ‘Programme on Planning Life Education in Secondary Schools 2012/2013’, with the aim of fostering students’ positive values and attitudes through a series of seminars, study visits and experiential learning activities. 70 principals and teachers from 20 partner secondary schools have been participating in the programme from July 2012 to June 2013.
The Programme will stage an academic conference on Life Education which is to be held on 8 June 2013 (Saturday). It is open to teachers and education practitioners. Interested parties may visit the website at http://hkier.fed.cuhk.edu.hk/ledc2013 for further details.
The conference will be divided into two parts. In the morning session, a graduation ceremony of the Programme on Planning Life Education in Secondary Schools 2012/2013 will be held. Representatives from three seed schools of the Programme will also give sharing to attendees. In the afternoon session, there will be panels in which a wide range of life education topics will be discussed. In addition, a book exhibition will be held. Teaching materials and reference books on life education will be on sale.
