Memorial Poetry Recitation for Professor Yu Kwang-chung

“The Memorial Poetry Recitation for Professor Yu Kwang-chung,” organized by the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, will take place at the Lecture Hall 1, Esther Lee Building, Chung Chi College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, on Saturday, 14th April, at 10:00am-12:30pm. The memorial will be open for public.
Professor Yu was a distinguished scholar and a gifted writer. It is of our deepest grief to mourn the passing of him in December 2017. Serving as professor in our Department from 1974 to 1985, Professor Yu fully committed himself to the promotion of literature and the nurturing of talents.
The spirit of Professor Yu will be remembered through poetry recitation, as well as the screening of the documentary “Yu Kwang-chung’s Writing of Hong Kong” (2017), filmed by the National Sun Yat-sen University. We have invited Prof. Yu You-san, daughter of Professor Yu, to attend the memorial in remembrance of her father.
