Sir Jonathan Phillips
After some twenty-five years working in government departments in London, Sir Jonathan was appointed Director-General, Political of the Northern Ireland Office. in 2002 and supported two Prime Ministers and four Secretaries of State in the Northern Ireland political process. Later in 2005, he was appointed Permanent Secretary. In 2009, Sir Jonathan was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB). He left the civil service in 2010 shortly after the successful devolution of policing and justice powers to the Northern Ireland Executive. Sir Jonathan is now serving as Warden of Keble College, Oxford.
