In celebration of its 60th Anniversary, Chung Chi College is organizing a “Symposium on Service-Learning” on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 9a.m., at Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, in collaboration with the Education Bureau (EDB), The Boy’s & Girls’ Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) and the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong (CYMCA). All are welcome.

The Symposium aims to provide an opportunity for educators, students and service-learning practitioners from secondary schools and higher education institutes, as well as service agencies in the community, to share their experience and practices in Service-Learning. Prof. Rance LEE, former Head of Chung Chi College, will give an Introduction on Early History of Service-Learning in Chung Chi College, and Prof. Steven NGAI from Department of Social Work will deliver a Keynote Speech. A special session “Service-Learning Expo” will be held at the Symposium. Participants from secondary schools and higher education institutes will set up booths under the theme of “Service-Learning practices at your School”, to share their service-learning model and learning experiences. Students who join the full day Symposium will be awarded a Certificate.
