Professor Ambrose Y C King
Professor King is the former Vice-chancellor and President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Head of New Asia College, as well as an Emeritus Professor of Sociology at CUHK. After his retirement, Professor King has devoted himself to Chinese calligraphy, pursuing humanistic spirit. His calligraphy style is strong and unique, known as the “King Style Calligraphy.”

With the generous support of Hop Wai Tong, the Hop Wai Artist in Residence, organised by United College and co-organised by the Art Museum, will firstly launch in early October 2024. The College is honored to invite Professor Ambrose Y C King to serve as the first Artist in Residence of United College this year, thetheme is “ The Art of Chinese Calligraphy”.
