CUHK hosts National Day flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) held a flag-raising ceremony today to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
The event commenced at 10:30am at CUHK’s flag-hoisting platform, where the CUHK’s Student Flag Guards conducted the ceremony. The national flag was raised alongside the HKSAR flag and the CUHK flag, accompanied by a rendition of the national anthem.
CUHK was honoured to welcome more than 180 guests to the ceremony, including Council Chairman Professor John Chai Yat-chiu, Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Rocky S. Tuan and Council members. The ceremony was also attended by other guests, senior management team members and representatives from colleges and faculties, as well as staff, students and alumni of the University.
