34th SIMBAS Conference 2024 --
Dramaturgies of Collecting: Conserving, Restaging, and Interpreting the Performing Arts

The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library and the International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC(HK)) are going to present the 34th SIMBAS Conference from 23 to 27 June 2024. The Conference “Dramaturgies of Collecting: Conserving, Restaging, and Interpreting the Performing Arts” is the first SIBMAS Conference presenting in Asia coincides with the 70th anniversary of the founding of SIBMAS in 1954.

- Dr Toni SANT, Director of the Digital Curation Lab at MediaCityUK with the University of Salford, Editor of the publication “Documenting Performance: The Context and Processes of Digital Curation and Archiving”;
- Prof. Dr Minako OKAMURO, Professor at the Faculty of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Waseda University, Director of the Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum (2013-2023);
- Dr Ashutosh POTDAR, Associate Professor of literature and drama at the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (School of Design, Art and Performance), FLAME University, Pune, Editor of the publication “Performance Making and the Archive”
- Mr Danny Yung, founding member cum Co-Artistic Director of Zuni Icosahedron, one of most influential artists in Hong Kong and the neighbouring regions.
