CUHK clarifies unfounded rumor on the Internet
Online rumors have been cited by recent news articles claiming that certain CUHK facilities could accommodate visitors or tourists overnight freely. CUHK hereby clarifies that these rumors and reports are totally unfounded.
Since a few years ago, CUHK has implemented campus access control and security measures. All visitors have to present their identity documents (HKIDs or passports, etc) for registration and state their purpose of visit in order to enter CUHK campus.
The campus is open to visitors from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. All visitors are not allowed to stay on campus beyond the opening hours. Visitors who violate these regulations will be expelled from the campus. If necessary, the University will call Police for assistance.
