Biography of Speaker:

Professor Miao is an associate professor of law at CUHK Law. She previously conducted research in the capacity of NYU Global Fellow, Oxford Howard League Fellow, British Academy Postdoc Fellow, NUS ASLI scholar and Harvard Yenching Scholar. Her research expertise covers criminal justice, sociolegal studies, comparative law and technology & Law. Recently, she is an awardee of American Society of Comparative Law’s Hessel Yntema Prize for most outstanding scholarship by a scholar under 40 years of age.
