CUHK Announces 2021/22 Admission Scores for Medicine
In the official announcement of the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) main round offer results today, 186 students are admitted to the Medicine Programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), equivalent to 70% of this year’s intake of CUHK Medicine. Over half of the students pursue for medical degrees in Hong Kong opted for CUHK Medicine, regardless of whether it is calculated based on the score of seven subjects or the best five subjects.

Considering the full score of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) is 49 marks, four students who got the full score chose to study at the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK. They include Hoi Ying CHAN from Diocesan Girls’ School; Lok Yung CHAN from St. Stephen’s Girls College; Long CHING from Ying Wa College and Pok Yin LEUNG from Queen Elizabeth School.
In addition, the Medicine (Global Physician-Leadership Stream) undergraduate programme continues to be the top programme with the highest median admission score among the JUPAS institutions in the territory for the eighth consecutive year.

Professor Francis KL CHAN, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK, extended a very warm welcome to all the medical freshmen, “As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, daily life and study plan of this year’s HKDSE students have been disrupted. It is very impressive and encouraging to see that they were diligent in overcoming different challenges and finally achieved excellent results in the examinations. I wish my young ‘brothers and sisters’ will keep this perseverance in their medical study, as it will be a lifelong learning.”
