Event Details:

The University Lecture on Civility (ULC) has been rolled out for seven years. This year, we are privileged to have Professor Lung Yingtai, a renowned Taiwanese writer, as the speaker of the University Lecture. As suggested by the title “The 13 Things Learnt from the Adventure of a Perplexing Youth”, Professor Lung will share her views of the period from adolescence to adulthood with us.

Besides, a screening of the documentary, Seeing Off 1949 – Lung Yingtai’s Journey, will be held a day prior to Professor Lung’s lecture. This documentary was shot while Professor Lung had been writing her literary work, The Big River Big Sea (1949). Professor Lung will join the screening event to share with us in person her journey to exploring 1949.

Complimentary shuttle bus service will be available from 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm to take participants of the University Lecture from University MTR station to New Asia College.
