Event Details:

Language undergoes very rapid development in the earliest years of life. Experience-dependent plasticity of the nervous system is most prominent in early childhood. Our Symposium will explore the interdependence of brain and language experience from neonates to early childhood. We will bring together world renowned researchers whose research focuses on language and brain development at the very earliest stages of life. Questions such as how the neonatal brain leads to language development, how early language development shapes neural processes, what neural markers predict language development, and how early intervention can result in better language will be discussed.
